Some people teach. Noa does something else.
I told her I was reading “Die With Zero”. The next lesson, she brought me books about the same ideas. She had gone and found them on her own time.
That changed everything. I wasn’t studying a language anymore. I was reading about a world I already loved, in words I was still learning. The Japanese came alive because I cared about what it was saying.
I have taken lessons from more than 15 teachers. Different styles. Different settings. Some were good. A few were great. None were Noa.
If you want to learn Japanese and actually enjoy it, stop looking. Run, don’t walk.

Noa has been such an amazing Japanese teacher!
We started with only a few phrases we’d picked up on a trip to Japan, and now we can read hiragana, have useful conversations, and understand grammar and verb conjugations with confidence.
Her lessons are always fun, engaging, and tailored to real-life situations, helping us learn how to communicate naturally and respectfully.
We always finish our classes smiling, and she goes above and beyond with helpful resources to support our learning. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Noa sets the perfect pace for our lessons. My goal was to be able to have casual conversations with Japanese friends, and the progress has surpassed my expectations.
I can only praise her, and I would recommend her to anyone who is unsure of what she is capable of. I have enjoyed Japanese so much with her and her energy that I have decided to take the JLPT N5 exam.

Like many people, I started learning Japanese with the green owl. Then I took some group sessions with Noa and a few other people. I knew right then that if I was serious about learning Japanese, I needed to learn with Noa.
I’ve been taking lessons with her for about a year now, and she is an outstanding teacher. She is patient, kind, and understanding of the fact that you are learning while also living life at the same time. She will go at whatever pace you need.
Noa creates a constructive learning environment where you are free to practice your Japanese without feeling uncomfortable, nervous, or embarrassed if (and when) you mess up.
There is nothing easy about learning Japanese; however, Noa makes it an enjoyable experience. Whether you are already familiar with Japanese or just starting out, Noa is the 先生 (sensei) for you!

Noa’s lessons and guidance have helped me become so much more confident in my Japanese. She is incredibly patient, flexible, encouraging, and always knows how to keep me motivated, even when I’m struggling with something.
Learning with her has made speaking Japanese feel like a goal I can genuinely achieve. There really isn’t another teacher like her, and I’m incredibly grateful that I found her!

Studying with Noa-sensei has helped me move beyond textbook Japanese. The live conversations are focused on real-world usage, and she’s always quick to follow up with clear explanations and great resources. She does a great job of explaining nuance and grammar in context, correcting me naturally during conversation, and adapting lessons to my level. It’s made speaking Japanese feel much more approachable.

I honestly never expected learning a language as complex and fascinating as Japanese to be this fun, engaging, and at times even surprisingly easy.
Noa is not only a great teacher, but also a genuinely wonderful person. She is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and always willing to help, and she has a great way of making the learning experience feel almost like a game rather than studying.
What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t just teach you Japanese — she makes you want to actually use it. Thanks to her, I’ve learned and understood so much more than I ever expected. She has helped me build a solid foundation in grammar and sentence structure while making the whole process enjoyable, and I’m genuinely excited to keep improving.
People often say that a good teacher can make all the difference, and I couldn’t agree more. Noa is definitely proof of that.
Whether you’re interested in Japanese for academic or professional reasons, or simply because you love the language and culture, I highly recommend giving it a shot with Noa. You might be surprised by how much you can learn while actually having fun!

I've studied Japanese on and off for years, cycling through different private tutors and language schools, but I have not met a teacher as clear, immersive, or personable as Noa. She is very articulate in explaining the nuances and annoying (let’s be real) rules of Japanese, and balances what’s needed for the JLPT with real-life conversational Japanese. I’ve bought multiple plans with Noa and have no plans to stop!

I have been studying Japanese for about a year at a low intensity with a different tutor, but I wasn’t satisfied and was learning at a very slow pace. After only a few months with Noa, I have learned so much at such a fast rate that I am truly grateful to have a tutor who actually cares about my learning and encourages my success. Noa has amazing people skills, is very easy to talk to, and will make you love Japan even more than you already do!

Noa is a great teacher! She is patient, supportive and provides clear explanations. I also like learning from a native Japanese speaker, as you get to know the subtle nuances that only a local would know. I started out learning some phrases before travelling to Japan, but I loved the lessons so much I decided to continue even after the trip. Highly recommend her classes!

If you're interested in growing your Japanese, I highly recommend Noa as a teacher. She really excels at setting our lessons to a pace that works best for me, and they’re honestly really fun. I recently moved to Japan, so I use a lot of Japanese resources — and she’s easily one of the best ones at my disposal.

Noa knows there is more than one way to learn a language, and her flexibility helped us design lessons around the situational Japanese I knew I’d need to truly enjoy my time in Japan. It all worked — I’ve now been to Japan several times with more trips in the planning! Plus, my friends in Japan say my pronunciation is getting better every trip, and that makes me really happy.

Noa-sensei ichi!!! Noa is NUMBER 1!!! Learning Japanese with her is second to NO OTHER! Real people, reading, writing, and SPEAKING JAPANESE together!
She’ll take you from zero to fluency (if you stick with it ;) or sharpen the Japanese skills you already have — at your own pace, with plenty of reps on vocab, grammar and kanji. Let’s learn Japanese together! 行きましょう (ikimashō)!

I think Noa Sensei is a good starting point to learn Japanese! She has a lot of materials and videos to help get you started, and you get to learn in live classes with her. The hardest part of learning a new language is speaking, and I think Noa gives you a lot of opportunities to practice and build confidence in speaking Japanese!

I have explored various ways of learning during my language journey, and I must say that learning with Noa is truly distinctive. The wide range of content and the blend of self-study and live sessions are excellent. Beyond that, she engages, supports, and motivates you to continue learning.

Noa gives a lot of good options for quickly understanding and using the necessary basics of Japanese, and lets you put what you learned to use right away. So not only are you learning those foundational skills, but you can practically apply them too.
